Refurbished telecoms platforms supply and repair
Infinera/Coriant hiT - Coherent multi-haul packet-optical transport
DTC provides comprehensive repair, supply, service, and technical support for the Infinera/Coriant hiT family of products.
About the Infinera hiT (formerly Coriant)
The Infinera hiT is a family of SDN-ready coherent multi-haul packet-optical transport systems designed for metro, regional, long-haul, and subsea network applications.
Prior to Infinera’s acquisition of Coriant in 2018, the hiT was a Coriant product, so legacy deployments in the field are likely to be branded as Coriant.
- The hiT family supports up to 400G per channel with programmable modulation for optimal capacity-reach performance across a range of chassis and configuration options
- It offers flexible configuration options including fixed grid, flexible grid, and super-channel technology across point-to-point, ring, and fully meshed topologies
- Provides a diversified modular ROADM and amplifier portfolio with industry-leading optical link performance and low power consumption per bit
DTC is an independent supplier of telecoms equipment and has no affiliation with Infinera

Refurbished Infinera hiT (formerly Coriant) hardware supply
The Infinera hiT is a family of optical transport platforms spanning legacy multi-service SDH systems through to modern SDN-ready coherent packet-optical transport. The family includes the hiT 7020 and 7025 (compact CPE and access), hiT 7060/7065 (multi-service metro), hiT 7090 (carrier-class packet transport with capacities from 5 Gbps to 960 Gbps), and the flagship hiT 7300 (coherent multi-haul transport). Prior to Infinera’s acquisition of Coriant in 2018, the hiT was a Coriant product, so legacy deployments in the field are likely to be branded as Coriant.
Multi-service optical transport from access to backbone
The hiT family covers the full transport network hierarchy. At the customer edge, the hiT 7020 provides single-board CPE for ADM 4/1 applications, while the hiT 7025 delivers multi-service provisioning from STM-1 to STM-16 in compact configurations. The hiT 7060 and 7065 serve the metro layer with multi-service transport integrating SDH, Ethernet, and ATM, with the 7065 supporting up to STM-64. The hiT 7090 is a carrier-class platform integrating SDH, Ethernet switching, ATM, OTN, WDM, and ASON/GMPLS with capacities scaling from 5 Gbps to 960 Gbps. At the core, the hiT 7300 provides coherent DWDM transport for long-haul and subsea applications.
Converged TDM, packet, and wavelength services
Across the family, the hiT platforms support a broad range of service types and transport technologies. The access and metro platforms (7020 through 7065) provide SDH, PDH, and Ethernet transport with conventional ring and linear protection schemes. The hiT 7090 adds OTN switching, Layer 2 Ethernet switching, ATM, and integrated WDM, with ASON/GMPLS control plane for intelligent mesh networking and dynamic path restoration. The hiT 7300 extends this with coherent DWDM transmission, programmable modulation, and flexible grid channel configurations. This layered architecture allows operators to deploy the appropriate platform at each network tier while maintaining a common hiT operational framework.
Scalable DWDM and optical networking
The hiT family provides WDM capabilities across multiple tiers, from integrated coloured interfaces on the metro platforms through to full DWDM line systems on the 7090 and 7300. The optical networking portfolio includes ROADM configurations from fixed add-drop through to colorless, directionless, and contentionless architectures, along with integrated amplification including EDFAs and optional Raman amplification for extended reach. Network topologies supported across the family include point-to-point, ring, and fully meshed configurations, with the 7090’s ASON/GMPLS capabilities providing automated mesh restoration across the metro and regional layers.
Infinera hiT (formerly Coriant) repair services
DTC provides specialist repair and lifecycle support for Infinera hiT platforms, focused on restoring complex optical transport hardware to a fully serviceable state rather than offering best-effort fixes. Repairs are driven by detailed platform knowledge and structured fault isolation across the full hiT family, covering coherent transponder modules, ROADM and amplifier cards, SDH interface boards, OTN switching units, and system controllers from the hiT 7020 through to the hiT 7300.
Each repair is completed with defined test and verification processes aligned to hiT platform operating requirements, ensuring repaired units can be reintroduced into live optical transport networks with confidence. This emphasis on validation, repeatability, and long-term sustainment allows operators to extend the operational life of deployed hiT systems – including legacy Coriant-branded equipment – while controlling cost and risk.
DTC also provides hands-on technical support and break/fix services for the Infinera hiT family, helping resolve faults quickly and keep your network operational without reliance on OEM maintenance contracts.

Warranty and risk mitigation – why source outside the OEM?
Warranty, quality, and risk mitigation
DTC supplies fully warrantied platforms and parts across all network layers, supported by defined SLAs and quality-controlled repair services. All recovered equipment is inspected, tested, and audited at platform, part number, serial number, and software revision level. These processes are governed by ISO 9001-certified quality management systems, ensuring consistent performance, traceability, and reduced operational risk.
End-to-end audit trails are maintained from collection through resale, repair, or recycling, with transparent inventory visibility and regular reporting. This ensures customers retain full control, compliance, and confidence in the condition and provenance of every asset.
Why source outside the OEM?
Sourcing through DTC provides a cost-efficient alternative to OEM supply chains while maintaining enterprise-grade reliability. Independent sourcing enables faster access to spares through in-house, multi-vendor inventory and continued support for legacy and end-of-life platforms no longer available from manufacturers.
Vendor-agnostic sourcing also simplifies procurement across mixed-vendor networks, while reuse and refurbishment support sustainability goals by extending asset life and reducing the environmental impact associated with manufacturing new equipment.
