Welcome to DTC Telecom!
DTC Telecom’s heritage stretches back to 1991 in the UK. Since then and especially since 2005 we have been developing our business and services across the globe. Our new website showcases our organisation in 2018 and how we interface in our chosen markets.
Today, key market opportunities exist for DTC in both the UK and around the world in the telecom sector operating in the migratory space between old and new technology. Our business links directly to supporting and assisting customers across legal, ethical, and discretionary issues related to environmental sustainability and the circular economy. As your partner for Reverse Logistics and After Market Services , DTC delivers ‘green’ benefits around transportation management, WEEE disposal, energy management, product lifecycle extension and reuse of commodities. We
Aside reuse through resale our recovery and disposal options for surplus telecom equipment reduce energy consumption, carbon-emissions and the use of landfill. All activities are underpinned by the European WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Directive and other local government legislation (The Environmental Protection Act 1990).
We operate as an Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF) licensed by the Environment Agency. Recycling operations are specifically designed for the disposal of surplus obsolete telecommunications equipment from fixed line and wireless networks as well as the historic sunken copper cable infrastructure. Up to 96% of metal content is reclaimed and cables are 99% recycled.
Our waste carrier licence illustrates that we are trusted to handle controlled waste under the Control of Pollution. The BSI ISO 9001 Quality Management and ISO 14001 Environmental Management standards reflect the quality of our recycling process and are supported by a full audit trail from collection to disposal. We are currently working towards BSI 45001 in 2018.
