Corporate responsibility
Our Environment
It has become increasingly evident that large quantities of non recycled materials are having a negative contribution on the environment. This includes the increase in landfill pollution and the constant use of natural resources. This in turn pollutes the atmosphere and contributes towards climate change.
We want to help potect the environment by safely disposing of hazardous and non-hazardous materials. By recycling and reselling in a cost effective manner, we aim to find the best solution for your company. This will also help to ensure a safer and cleaner earth for future generations.
Our waste carrier licence shows we are trusted to carry out controlled waste under the Control of Pollution Act. All precautions are carried out during disposal, to certify minimal environmental impacts. We are exempt from Waste Management licensing by the Environment Agency and all our processes comply with the WEEE Directive.
The Processes
Here at DTC-Telecom we have led the industry with quality standards, we have often anticipated and even exceeded the demands of new environmental legislation. Our major recycling plant process is specifically designed for the correct disposal of obsolete telecommunications and data equipment. This is capable of reclaiming up to 96% of metal content and cables are 100% recycled. The equipment is recycled in strict compliance with local government legislation and in accordance with our Duty of Care under the Environment Protection Act 1990.
The BSI ISO 9001 registration reflects the quality of our recycling process. This is supported by a full audit trail from collection to disposal (inspection available on request).
